A delightful miniature railway run by an enthusiastic, welcoming and lovely group. It's honestly great, and well worth a visit - the ticket prices are very fair and my son and I had a wonderful time having a ride of all the trains that were running. It only runs Sunday afternoons in the warmer months, but it's an enjoyable place to spend a few hours, and good for kids and steam enthusiasts alike. I didn't sample them but there are refreshments available as well.

This is our third year visiting this hidden gem In the corner of one of Colchester's parks and it never fails to excite our children. The volunteer group are so friendly and helpful, trains are great to see and ride on and we all have a great couple of hours for the cost of a couple of tickets. £5 for 6 tickets means the 4 of us have a great couple of hours for £10 plus some coffee and cake. Plenty of picnic benches and only a few minute walk from the playground. A must visit, even if it's just to support this lovely group of enthusiast's.
