Chelmsford City Library - is a disappointing experience compared to its wealth of books available just a decade ago. It is of course much stronger in internet facilities - but its core resource of on-the-shelf books seems very curtailed, the news and magazine area is gone, so less chance of a gentle neighbourly chat. The upstairs reference is gone. I was hoping to find a particular literary guide - no luck there. Then I'm looking for a particular author - again nothing. I will always value a Library, a City such as Chelmsford should be doing a lot better.
