It's really a lot more modern inside than outside due to ravages of wartime. There's a lot of dedication to the WW2 alliance with the US, with military graves and monuments. Bright and clean- a reasonable way to spend a half hour, and they do have a choir.

A normal looking well kept church. Driving anywhere close to Chelmsford Centre can easily lead to fines due to bad signage re bus gates, simply intended to make quick money for the local council. Avoid Chelmsford Centre if by car.
