I contacted Carl after reading all the positive reviews in order to get starter motor replaced. I was replied to in good time with a quote and date time was agreed for the fix to be done on the driveway. The evening before the date, I asked a question regarding which starter motor he was planning to use ? Up until this point he had been replying to messages courteously but I received no reply to this question neither did he turn up next day morning as planned. I spent entire day not knowing whether car was getting fixed or if I had to start checking with other garages. I tried to call and also texted to check if everything was ok and whether he would be coming to fix the car. No response. Also this meant I had lost the two days and car repair was further delayed which added to my worry as I need the car daily for school and activity runs for my son and i worried it would just give up at some point. This is the first bad experience i have had with a car mechanic. The least he could have done was to let me know that he was cancelling the job, going AWOL is unprofessional. There is a concern in my mind whether something happened to his phone or if there has been an unfortuante reason for why i was ghosted so I just hope there was a reason for why he treated a customer this way. I will certainly never consider using the services of this garage again.
