Their cheese is ridiculously good and Frances also stocks a beautiful range of chutneys and jams. Best cheese shop I've ever had the pleasure to walk into, I was rather sad to leave. To all cheese lovers, I discovered Cheese Please in Lewes before the first lockdown and haven't looked back since. As a French person, I was delighted to be introduced to some remarkable local English cheese as well as some European ones. All throughout the pandemic, Cheese Please has managed to re-invent themselves and offer a remarkable delivery service, always with a smile. Their knowledge of cheese and local produce is extensive. this is no ordinary cheesemonger. Presentation and wrapping is outstanding. The diversity of local produce ranges from chutneys jams and honeys, biscuits, bread, eggs but also local pottery by Mohamed Hamid, not to mention some local beers/ales and fantastic wines. Thank you Cheese Please for remaining open throughout the various lockdowns and for giving life and taste to the Lewes High Street. If you are visiting Lewes, this is a stop you should not miss!
