Chatsworth Park is just lovely to walk around as it offers big open spaces, great views of the house and some more interesting and involved walking for those who are willing to venture further. I normally park up in the public car park in Baslow and do a circular walk taking in the river, past the house and up along the cliffs and wooded area that run along the Eastern edge. You can enjoy a coffee and a cake at the cafe in the courtyard if the mood takes you. A great day out for the price of the parking and if you’re really lucky there’ll be a free to view sculpture exhibition.
