What a wonderful experience dealing with the staff, namely Jude and Diane. I live in New York. Recently my uncle ended up in the hospital and was transferred to an extended care home in Margate. When I flew over I found him in horrible condition and knew if he was to have any quality of life he had to be moved. I only had a few days to make this happen, and on my final day in the UK we went to The Chartwell house for a tour and immediately felt my uncle could thrive there. In one day, they went above and beyond to get him through the admissions process, which usually takes several days. I was able to get him settled in that night, photos and all, and shared one final, delicious meal cooked and served by the staff. I just got off the phone with him, and he was happily watching a rugby game in one of the many comfortable lounges. If you're looking for a place for your loved one, definitely take a tour of this facility and check out their FB page, where you'll find photos of your loved one should you decide to move them in!!

Seeing some familiar faces will help her manage the change from one care home to another. My aunt has loved the visits, the chat and the singing! I'm really excited for her move to Chartwell House.

Since joining Chartwell House it has been a pleasure to become part of an experienced, caring and professional team. The welfare of the staff, the emphasis on the quality of life for the residents and having the highest quality available has been clear to see. Feedback and communication has been clear which makes for a lovely environment to work in with a good balance of characters to enhance what Chartwell House has to offer. Pay is very competitive, appreciation is better than anywhere I have worked in hospitality, and I have been listened to, to enable me to complete my job role effectively. The equipment is brand new, the staff are lovely, and coming here to create a legacy and make a difference has never been clearer. I believe this will be the best care home available in the area. Chartwell House enables everyone involved to have a healthy balanced lifestyle, staff and residents.
