Very supportive but the "luxury " thing was rubbish. Staff are amazing but the elephant in the room is not addiction. Over charging. I used the pool twice in a month because they hadn't got Staff to do it daily.

If you are struggling with an addiction, I would highly recommend Charter House. All the staff are amazing and committed to providing the best possible care for clients. They have literally given me my life back. The treatment package is structured and tailored to the clients they are working with. I was struggling with a relapse back into alcoholism after several years sober, along with work addiction. They were encouraging and supported me to make positive changes in my life to address the issues through group therapy and 1-1 counselling. The therapists are very experienced, knowledgeable, highly qualified within the area of addiction and most importantly very caring and focused on the well-being of the clients. Organised around the therapy were varied workshops and group activities where I learnt a great deal around addiction and how I kept my addiction going. To compliment the therapy and workshops, there were many holistic activities such as Yoga, walks and swimming, all vitality important when learning how to live sober and manage everyday anxiety and stress which I struggle with. Coming to the end of my time in Charter, my treatment focused on continuing support and how I can manage post rehab. I left feeling ready to face the challenges ahead, surrounded by a good network of peers and aftercare. Thank you Charterhouse Clinic

I’m not one to write reviews but feel this deserves one. This treatment center gave me a grasp on life that’s eluded me for decades. I’ve jumped from A to C and back like a yoyo on repeat while alcohol shadowed its every rest, along with all the other legal addictions that joined the chaos with me under the radar. The place, the staff, the facilities, the re-education, the program as a whole is all covering if you allow it to be. From my experience and of those who I was fortunate to have with me on my 28 day journey all had the opportunity to explore their choices in a safe, supported and cared for manner. Its no walk in the park but if your serious in gaining some control back on the choice’s that have become you, through my time spent there you’d be mad not to. Kind of wish I’d done it sooner, but everyone has their time and place. I’d like to thank the team for the chance, now on the other side with months under my belt. The tools, insight and hope that tomorrow doesn’t have to be another day lost to the way it used to be.

I cannot say enough positive words about the staff and treatment !!! The therapists were excellent, they structured sessions and days around the needs of individuals and included everyone within the group, they didn’t just follow a schedule, but actually put thought into everything the patients did. The support staff were so patient, each and every one of them. Always had time to stop and talk, no matter how little the issue or how busy they may have been and with great knowledge and understanding. The house staff and chef’s were all so nice and helpful with whatever you needed. The food was amazing, and the sense of community and care encouraged came second to nothing….. I saw a lot of troubled people come through CH in my 8 week stay and every single one was given as much of a chance to overcome their illness as the next. CH was extremely professional. Aftercare is provided and above all, most of all you felt so valued again, so cared for by genuinely nice people. Something people in addiction & recovery need, honesty & care. Charterhouse could well have saved my life ?! Might sound like a dramatic statement, but realistically from where I was the day I walked in to CH, to where I am today looking back at the situation, I wasn’t far off killing myself. Thanks everyone at Charterhouse xxxxxxx

Charterhouse is a beyond special place, having cared for both myself and my son . We are now on the road to recovery . Everyone of the staff are so kind and passionate about their work . Hands up I was a right royal pain in the *** . They never changed their way towards me. I can’t thank them enough for all the support and tools given to help me stay on track .. this recovery is a journey not an event , so now out in the big wide world starting my new way of life . So far , so good
