It is now nearly impossible to contact the surgery and speak to a human being. Every telephone option sends you elsewhere (mostly online), which is hugely problematic when the problem itself relates to those online services. The website is appalling, and phone messages aggressive. And of course the phones are never answered. Hours of time wasted in an attempt to receive the most basic of heathcare service. Frankly, this is not good enough and a daming indictment of the NHS.

The receptionists are the loveliest women! However, the advanced practitioner from the outset was unpleasant, impatient and uncaring. It felt like I was just a quick in and out on her list and the visit felt so rushed. Such a shame because I had wanted to ask her questions but I felt like I was just being rushed out the door and on to the next...

It's almost impossible to book an appointment. If you can manage to get one after traying hundred times then doctors are not bad but I cannot say the same tings about the Reception staff.

Poor service to say the least, 10 minute appointments and no answers. Doctors overwhelmed, seem uninterested, they don't listen to patient, they open the NHS website and answer by reading off what is written there. Thanks, I could do that on my own. They genuinely make you wonder if these people have actually studied medicine. Also, the black-haired receptionist with tattoos, chewing gum and showing false attitude against an old lady in front of me. Message to her: if you don't like working there, there are so many other jobs out there that don't require patient service.

I have always had a great experience at Charter Medical Centre and I want to praise and thank all the staff - medical and non medical - for what they achieve with patients in really difficult times. I’ve had really great advice, guidance, diagnosis, reassurance and service from this practice over the last 21 years and I would highly recommend them. With all the negativity around the NHS and doctor’s surgeries in particular, I want to give a huge thank you to Charter Medical Centre for what they do and their place in our community 😊
