After ordering a handmade acoustic guitar from the US it then unfortunately spent many weeks held up in transit probably in extremes of temperature that caused multiple detrimental effects. These included a warped neck and a bridge that would have literally torn itself off the guitar had I not de-tuned rapidly !!. I decided to contact Charlie Chandler's because I'd heard such good reports regarding customer service and the quality of their guitar repairs. All I can say is I now not only have a guitar that is a joy to play it's actually a far better instrument generally as all the previous 'rough edges' and imperfections have now been expertly dealt with. The neck and frets are now perfect after going through the PLEK machine, the bridge has been re-attached and guitar restrung. Big shout out to Kim Rogers for the great repairs done and care taken, and also to Jeremy whom I contacted via phone and emails to discuss details and arrange collection and return. A really good experience from start to finish. Well done indeed...five stars fully justified and earned..!!.

Probably my favourite guitar store in the country. Better than the chains, that’s for sure. OK, doesn’t have a massive load of stock like those big shops, but if you want to spend a bit of time trying gear, talking gear, getting gear repaired, then this is the place. Moreover, CCGX is the only shop where I’ve met honest staff in my 30 something years of playing. I usually learn something new when I come here, and get to try some stuff even if I can’t afford it. And Charlie has repaired / serviced all my guitars. Can’t recommend the place highly enough.

Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. I recently bought a second hand Telecaster and the service I experience was excellent. They’ve also provided me with advice on pedals in the past and are really honest and helpful. Great shop and will be my go to from now on!
