We had 3 courts completely resurfaced in mid 2020, 2 macadam and one Tiger Turf. Consequently one of the Macadam courts drains very slowly and the other is even worse and takes a couple of hours even after a short downpour. During the storm in April 2022 the Tiger Turf was completely ripped up as it was not fixed down. Apparently this is normal practise but unfortunately our insurance would not cover it as "it's an act of god". We hoped Charles Lawrence would take some responsibility but didn't and offered us a measly 5% off 20k to lay it again! They also didn't offer any discount on painting it so we could get it playing again which I thought was staggering. With regards to the Macadam they are trying to blame the company that supply the aggregate but we have been waiting months for them to come and take samples. It rained yesterday and after 90 mins of it stopping both still had significant puddles on them. I am the coach there so lost income cancelling lessons even though the sun was shining. I would think twice about using this company.

MUGA Project at Phoenix Collegiate, West Bromwich B71 2BX Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts completed an additional MUGA for Phoenix Collegiate in June 2020 to provide two additional Netball Courts to meet our Sport England Netball Centre requirements. Mark and James Gamble took the time to visit the site to discus our needs in detail ahead of submitting their tender, unlike other companies who did everything off plan remote from the site. The tender from Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts, one of 3, was very competitive and considerably less than one of the tenders. This did not detract from the the quality of the work nor the finished result which is terrific. Mark and James were supportive of the school throughout the project, communicating regularly with updates, ensuring their workforce were professional and ultimately delivered a first class MUGA. A potential difficulty with the Planning Approval over Floodlighting was averted by Mark as he made sure the design, fittings and installation met the Urban Zone 3 lighting requirements. The completed MUGA look amazing and more than compliment there location on site. Considering the whole project was undertaken during the Covid-19 Lockdown is a further testament to the attention to detail and high regard that Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts have for their clients. Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts have recently completed a new MUGA for Balcarras School in Cheltenham. The project has been a wonderful success and in particular Mark Gamble has led and managed the project superbly. All the way through from tender to completion of the project, Mark has been communicative, supportive of the school’s needs and very helpful in all aspects of the project. The tender from Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts was by some way the lowest of the 3 tenders (under half the amount from one other company). However, this has in no way reflected a lower quality of finish. Mark helped significantly in dealing with the local planning agents and also in dealing with Sport England, submitting all of the necessary paper work on time to ensure that the planning was fully agreed before the work on site started. The finished MUGAs look terrific and they are an excellent addition to the school. I would have no hesitation in recommending Charles Lawrence Tennis Courts to anyone considering a similar project.
