We used the Dundonald branch recently to purchase my daughters first car. She had her heart set upon a Vauxhall Adam and so we began travelling around different independent dealers to find something suitable. After a few disappointing experiences elsewhere, our luck changed when an Adam came into stock at a local Charles Hurst branch. Having had prior experience with Charles Hurst before, I trusted that they would sort us out. I would consider myself to be a pretty demanding customer. I'm extremely fussy and have a high attention to detail, yet nothing was too much trouble for the team here. All my (many) queries, concerns and requests were resolved without hesitation. In fact, at one point the guys almost discouraged me to buy the car unless I was 100% certain about the purchase. (I'd pointed out some minor concerns, mainly cosmetics, yet they were happy to correct things to a standard I wanted). When you buy used, you should expect just that, but what we have now is a car which is in outstanding condition. It's been provided with a full service, extensive checks and minor cosmetic rework to bring it up to perfect, like-new condition. That took the guys time, effort and money, they didn't have to do it, but customer service was priority. There was even a little wriggle room on the price to seal the deal. This would likely be out-of-scope at other dealers, they either wouldn't do it or wouldn't have the ability to. I also chose Charles Hurst because of their strong market presence and solid reputation. There is peace of mind to be gained from using a reputable dealer who can provide you with confidence and aftercare - plus any extra products you may want for extra reassurance (we took extended warranty and availed of a very useful flexible finance option to suit our personal circumstances). They were well explained and simply presented on screen for ease of understanding. Follow up docs were emailed for us to read over in our own time. They never pushy about it either. From my first contact until sign over, the level of service I received was excellent. Tony went above and beyond throughout the whole process, the lad deserves a medal for dealing with me as I have no doubt that I was a pain in the a$$ at times. Yet he was totally professional and sorted everything for me. About a week later, I spotted a panel clip missing (very minor). I emailed him to ask if he could help as I was struggling to source a replacement and about two days later, someone called to my house and personally posted it through the door in an envelope! (I live a few miles away). You wouldn't get that anywhere else. All in all, Charles Hurst went the extra mile for us to tick all the boxes and produce a car that my family was delighted with, and that we have total confidence in - which is something you want when your daughter is hitting the road for the first time. I would happily recommend Charles Hurst Dundonald to others and I would definitely use them again. The whole team are attentive, down to earth, good craic, honest and fair. They'll look after you. First class experience. 👍
