Charles Grosvenor Loft Conversions We are coming to the end of our loft conversion with Charles Grosvenor. We’ve had a dormer and a new bathroom put in. On reflection – it has been a really very good experience and we would whole heartedly recommend them. I am sure that there are companies that are cheaper – but I think they are worth every penny. The office staff have been warm, courteous, friendly and efficient in organising and coordinating all aspects of the build and crucially – communicating these to us in a timely manner and when were away for 3 weeks. All the staff building the conversion have been a pleasure to have in our home. They have helped us problem solve issues that came up – they gave good advice, they listened to us. They were on time, worked hard, were kind to our cats and cleaned up after themselves, and always courteous. The work they have done is of excellent standard. The Project Manager, Russell, has been a valued point of contact and we are grateful to him for his care, kindness, good humour and professionalism – he even watered my plants while we were away! It was a big build and the house is nearly 100 years old, so some issues did crop up, as expected – but, Russell’s advice, attention to detail, ability to problem solve and offer solutions coupled with the company’s ability to provide the right staff to fix things has been crucial to the success of the whole project. Having work this extensive in your home is a challenging disruption to live with! But, everyone working at Charles Grosvenor has worked really hard to make it run smoothly and speedily and we would happily recommend them. Service: Home extension services

I had a loft conversion with Charles Grosvenor earlier this year and I honestly don’t have anything good to report. Was very very expensive, not thrilled with the end result. The job didn’t end up like the plans. They didn’t inform or consult. They went off plan and did things to my house that I didn’t approve and weren’t on the plan. They didn’t imform me when they weren’t coming. And the finished result is poor. I’ve waited a few months to write this thinking I may have calmed down but every day I live with the shoddy mess they left behind. Can’t recommend them and I’m so disappointed because I read all the reviews first.

Had to cancel my loft installation due to cost of living going up I just couldn't justify having this done. Placed over 4k on deposit. Now been told I will only recieve £400 back, absolute joke. I can understand being charged for surveyers fees but not for admin /diagram charges. Having to wait 2 weeks for a reply to be told the negative news, just delaying payment. Very dissatisfied. To be fair our house in parts is over 200 years old and the 20 minutes the Loft conversion Designer spent taking measurements was not enough. We then received a graph paper sketch bizarrely drawn to no scale with no explanation of how much useable space or if it was a viable project.

We had Charles Grosvenor build a loft conversion for us and the process was handled very efficiently. Apart from the usual party wall agreement drama - which was nothing to do with CG - the install went without any major hitch and the minor hitches were handled without any fuss. We've recommended CG to others who had a similar good experience so I've no problems recommending them to others!
