Worst service in the world, took over an hour for our food to come through, and the staffs attitude towards us was so negative. They didn’t offer any compensation for the long wait and acted as if it was not their problem. Food was very average, but for an hour wait is just appalling. All we wanted was a takeaway breakfast not a stressed rush to the train station with cold food and some of us not even receiving any food. Would not recommend at all especially if you want a regular poached eggs on toast breakfast.

Didn't try any food. Came in for a coffee, it wasn't very busy but did look a little understaffed. We waited about 30 minutes for my coffee and ONE HOUR for my friend's ice coffee. An hour. You wouldn't wait more than half hour in a restaurant, let alone a coffee shop. Luckily we had nothing better to do than chat but the timing was terrible. Not even an apology in site, just an excuse. One which accused us of not putting a table number in. Not going back, especially as an Americano was £4.

Where do i start! It was a major mistake setting foot in this place, first off i was sitting down for a coffee(which was bitter) when I overheard a conversation between a kind looking woman and a server(whose name I later found to be Beth) who was VERY rude to the customer. The lady had an issue with her drink so had gone to rectify it (looking back I wish I had done the same… or maybe not considering Beth’s reaction!) Beth spoke abruptly and just seemed to be making excuses rather than apologising for making such an awful drink in the first place! The kind stranger wasn’t even being rude or angry about the state of her drink so the reaction from Beth was frankly shocking and uncalled for! Beth finally asked if the lady would like a change of drink to which she replied yes. To then be told by Beth that she could have asked for a new drink in a better way! I was gobsmacked! This is highly unprofessional and extremely rude. What happened to the customer is always right in matters of taste? Will not be returning

Beth was very rude to my friend that I went with today. Was absolutely appalled by their attitude over a simple question. If you want to ask questions don’t go here because you’ll be told you ‘could have asked in a better way’ poor behaviour ruined my experience and I won’t be coming back!

Been going to this place for years and it used to be one of my five-stars place in Manchester for studying, working on my pc and reading. Unfortunately now it's closing an hour earlier than before, which it makes quite a difference for me as I work in the morning and recently they started putting pretty loud music on, which for the nature of the place it's completely unnecessary, distracting and for some people like me, impossible for focusing. I really hope they will come back to the earlier regime. PS I don't want to put anything less than five stars because the staff and the atmosphere are very special and unique for Manchester

Was looking forward to this place from reviews online and the website, however the website options and prices didn’t match the online menu we scanned when we got there. £4 for a tiny “mulled wine” tea that tasted like straight hot water. Waited almost 45 minutes for a small tea and plain latte and could not find seating at all. The idea behind the coziness, comfy and relaxed atmosphere with quirky and fun decorations is a lovely idea, however the implementation of this arrangement doesn’t seem to work well (at least at a busy time or when we went) as you struggle to find a seat, then you wait a long time for someone to bring you your order and it seemed very disorganized. Was disappointed and probably won’t go back, but if you’ve found a good spot and plan to stay and study for a long time then it could be worth it. Just be cautious of prices and long wait, and that the website doesn’t match the current menu.
