With the news today showing the headline "millions wait over two weeks to see a GP" I'm so glad I'm with Chapelthorpe. Excellent service, Ask my GP is fantastic. Kudos to you all.

I wrote a negative review on here and when the manager and assistant manager saw me at the surgery they invited me to their office to justify my comments! Not happy with me walking out the assistant manager then rang me personally at my home for further comments. I stand by all the comments in my prevoius 1 star review and I have previously given them a 5 star before. It was inappropriate for the staff at the surgery to approach me for comments in the way they did. The assistant manager also told me I could not be part of the PPG because they only want positive people in the group. So much for free speech

Some staff are OK some are not, service is slow, can't get appointments with a named gp for at least 2 weeks. Not doing many face to face, place is nearly empty every time I and others I know go in. When they ring you at home the phone rings a couple of times and they end the call before you get to answer it. When you ring them, the phone just rings and rings and rings, they are too busy to pick up and its the same number to ring in an emergency!!! They make a lot of admin errors regarding prescriptions. Notes are not written up correctly. Patients have to chase everything up themselves. Website is rubbish

appalling service. my dad at end of life care and I can't get support or care from his GP. No district nurses dispatched because the doctors referral form was filled in incorrectly. Nobody answers the phone and when they do you'd think my sofa was late the way they speak to you.

The ask my G.P app is fantastic. All the staff at this medical centre are amazing. I have never had an issue with an appointment or the fantastic duty of care they give. I would give this surgery a 10 if it was available. Shame all Medical centres didn't work to this efficiency. They are by far the best!

Lovely, friendly staff. Organised and efficient booking in system. Hard working nurses that are caring and supportive. Doctors appointments aren't easy to get these days which seems to be a common thing at most surgery's. I tend to ask for call backs which for some issues covers my personal needs.

I know people who work in the nhs and understand how overworked they can be. For years I've tried to give Chapelthorpe the benefit of the doubt, but they just never get any better. The admin side is a shambles. You have to constantly push them along to get what you need. They tell you one thing and then do something else. And then speak to you like it's your fault.

Tried to calling this morning as my daughter has what seems to be like a chest infection and we’ve been up all night with her being sick from coughing that much. We’ve done tests and she’s not got covid. I called the surgery as soon as the lines opened at 8am and got a really unpleasant and rude receptionist call Hayley. She spoke to me like I’m an illiterate. So humiliating… Telling me if it’s an emergency then I should go to A&E or a Walk-in Centre. That their emergency service is for severe conditions like stroke victims. When I tried to challenge this, even though she was bing really rude to me, she said I was shouting at her and hung up the phone. First of all, I highly doubt a person suffering from stroke will go to the gp surgery. I think that will surely be a hospital A&E visit. I’m not one to call in always anyway. I usually go on ask my gp, but I was really worried about my child, that’s why I called the surgery. Most of the other moms I spoke to, have explained experiencing similar rude behaviour from reception and it puts them off calling the surgery. That’s not right though. I know doctors are busy and all, but please train your staff to know how to show empathy and how to have polite telephone manners. After all the taxes we pay is the reason why they have a job in the first place. I wouldn’t have given 1 star as the doctors I’ve experienced there over the years are very good and patient. However it’s really difficult to get to them with such rude receptionist.
