Damaged my classic VW Golf when jacking it up, or lifting it on a 2 poster ramp, using an area on the sill which is not designed to be used, pushing in a factory assembly cup and ripping a hole in the sill as a result. When confronted about the damage (which had been identified during its MOT by another garage the following month, to which it consequently failed on) they stated, "we'd instruct all the guys to jack on these points and if the sill gives way, it's the fault of the car, not us." No, the mechanic should know that the correct area to jack the car is on the chassis rail, subframe mount or front engine mount. Not a cup spot welded onto a piece of 1.2mm sheet metal with a hollow void underneath it. A Mk2 Golf was a very common car in its day so anyone with any experience would know this, which goes to show the level of knowledge, experience and competence working on the cars here. This damage has caused undue stress, time and money to put right on a car I prided myself on being kept in exemplary condition. If you wish to keep your classic car in good condition and free of damage, I'd avoid using this garage, as not only will you run the risk of them damaging your car, but they'll not take ownership and state it's the car that's at fault. Brilliant service from these guys. I tried my hand at doing a small repair on my van and made it worse. Called these guys to help and they were brilliant. Fixed the problem I created and did it very quickly and at a reasonable price. Would definitely come back here and recommend to anyone else. Friendly guys, very helpful and good price. I think they can be busy but I'll be coming back here for sure.

I took my car here abd they replaced my egr and were meant to fix my wiper. They charged me £52 just to tell my my wiper needed a dealership part. They fitted the egr kit and a few days later my car started smelling of fumes, making a blown exhaust sound and my engine warning light came on. I took it to the garage in my village as I was scared to drive it anywhere. He told me whoever had fitted the egr had fractured the pipe it joins and had not blanked it off. He also replaced the pin in my wiper to fix it. I went back to Chapel Hill who denied everything. I would advise everyone to give them a wide berth. Rip off merchants. Service: Engine repair

Took my works vehicle here. It's a nightmare to get in/out of the premises as there's lots of vehicles parked everywhere. Difficult to tell whereabouts you're supposed to go as the reception/entrance is in a corner, hidden by all the vehicles. Luckily I was in a van so I could see it above the parked cars. There was no-one in reception when I went in and after a couple of minutes waiting I went back outside to the workshop to find someone. There was no real communication from anyone, just handed my keys once it was done and got told my vehicle was outside waiting for me. It seemed busy enough, so I can only assume it does a lot of business, but can't comment on the standard of their work or their rates as I was there to have a vehicle check for work purposes.
