We had the worst experience with Chancellors Bracknell after our offer to rent a property was accepted. When our offer was accepted we were asked to fill in the application form followed by a payment of a week’s rent as deposit. We were asked to fill this form 3 times from scratch just because we wanted to update move in date and guarantor. Then they sent us links from a third party tool “Lettings Hub” which is such a nightmare. It collects more information than a visa application with a buggy website that fails to submit your data every time. Although we provided the same details on the application form their procedure is strictly on the data in the Lettings Hub tool. Such tools are supposed to make the process easy but this one is just a monetisation tool for the letting agency. I received several calls from them just to buy TV, Internet and insurance through them. Worst thing is they will ask you to fill all the information per tenant even though it’s the same for all occupants. Now that we have a history with another letting agency in Bracknell, I can comfortably advise not to go with Chancellors as it’s more trouble to go through the tenancy process with them than continuing our search.

This review is for Rachael Marshall In administration dept for Chancellors. Rachael is extremely personable and really Great particularly when on the phone. She has been so patient with explaining things for me and going above and beyond to make sure my questions are addressed by her colleagues in other departments. I can’t fully comment on the entire letting experience just yet as it’s early days. My experiences with Freddie Milne and Jessica Cooke in the ASCOT branch have equally great over the phone and it certainly feels like Chancellors hire good people to provide good client rapport.
