This place is going down hill. Worse every time I come. No robes in lockers - You need to spend ages looking for one. Every time I go something is broken. I ordered a treatment which they took out of someone else's account by accident. They sorted that out and then took the payment from me twice. When I called I got no apology. Just that they will sort it at some point and to call again if I don't get it back. The relaxation room is filled with beautiful harp music which is drowned out by the staff laughing and joking directly outside right next to a sign that says it's a quiet zone. Don't go here to relax as you will leave with more stress than before you came. Noteworthy details: Not worth the money

Location was great. Spa is ok but a bit disappointing. Treatments were lovely with very friendly staff. Nadine (I think) who booked us in was lovely. Staff around were not exactly schooled in customer service and a couple were quite rude. Dining room staff looked like they really didn't want to be there. Food was ok. Not sure would book again

As a solo traveller, I was really nervous about a night away alone, but all these fears were constantly alleviated by the excellent staff at Champneys. Check in was smooth, and I was lucky enough to get a corner room at no extra charge, so had wonderful light and views throughout. I had an amazing Elemis facial from Dawn and took a zumba class led by Sophia, which were both exceptional. I also made use of the gym which while small, had everything i needed and didn’t feel overcrowded. That was a common theme throughout my visit, Champneys Henlow is large with lots of guests, however not once did it feel cramped or did i have to fight for a seat or a sun lounger. Staff are friendly and helpful to solo guests without being patronising or over bearing. The food was also wonderful, as a vegan I was nervous that i didn’t get to see the menu online before my stay, however there’s an abundance of healthy vegan options for all kinds of diets, i felt full and satisfied after every mealtime. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Champneys Henlow enough and am already itching to return! Noteworthy details: It’s really easy to get to from the local train station, just a straight 15 minute walk!
