I inherited a family clock which was repaired by Chalfont Clocks. The guys could not have been more helpful, explaining the history of the makers and the style and materials used. A new spring may have been required but I had confidence that they would only do as much as was required. When ready they installed with care in the house and gave me a key which I had managed to lose! The shop is almost next to the railway station and easy to park in the station , pay as you go. I would recommend without any hesitation

Could I be biased because Little Chalfont was my home for many years? Perhaps. So you will just have to rely on my good faith and a bit of all round common sense. For when you have a cherished family heirloom in need of care and attention the quality you look for, above all, is that very same trust with which you lend to this review. This has been my experience whenever I have used Chalfont Clocks for service and repair, and the fact that both our Mantle and Napoleon clocks are approaching their hundredth birthdays and still going strong is the best testament I can give. A fantastic shop which is a delight to walk round, full of fascinating clocks of all descriptions, the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. We took our very tired dirty not working bits missing family heirloom turn of the century longcase clock all the way from East Sussex ,It had not worked for over 20 years and spent the greater part of its life in smoke ridden pubs. The lead in time for repair may seem daunting, but having contacted four other horologists the waiting time for repair is by no means unusual, and has the advantage of being accurate. The skill of the horologists who work here is remarkable I would have no hesitation in recommending Chelfont Clocks to anyone. There craftmanship and customer care is of the highest .
