Came here at the weekend with my mum. I haven't had south sfrican food before so I cannot say whether it meets the criteria. The food we did have though was really nice. Good protion sizes, chicken samosita (*sp) was really nicely cooked, lovely salad and piri chips. We shared both desserts and they were both nice. Atmosphere was good and staff friendly. They would do well opening a Liverpool branch! Would highly recommend!

Visited on a Friday evening with friends. I shared a Mezze board between 2, I thought it was delicious! The Mac and cheese was some of the best I've had in a long time. I really enjoyed the South African cuisines, my favourite had to be the biltong, it was really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful and I found the drinks reasonably priced. They had south African imported beers too.

Sehr kleine Portion. Geschmacklich leider eher unter dem Durchschnitt. Tisch war klebrig. Bedienung wenigstens schnell und freundlich. (Translated by Google) Very noisy, small restaurant/bar. Conversation is only possible by screaming. Afterwards, fellow travelers go to the McD to get their fill. Despite the starter and main course. Appetizer (nachos) was good but quite few (perspective of the picture distorts actual size). The main course (curry) was more of a watery goulash that lacked any seasoning. Very small portion. Unfortunately, the taste is below average. Table was sticky. At least the service was quick and friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Keine Rampe.

Food at Chakalaka is great, the only downside is that it gets very loud in the evening on weekends so it’s hard to have a conversation with your meal.
