The receptionists never allow patients access GPs, no matter what time of day you call you are told the GP is fully booked. I have been trying to see a GP for a month n my symptoms are getting worse. Self medicating with over the counter meds yet I’m registered with a Gp whom I’m denied access to.

NHS: please close or get rid of all workers there especially the most rudest receptionist that they give falls information to parents when they calling about their children. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I can only echo the other reviews. The biggest problem with this place is it is nigh on impossible to get an appointment. You are told to phone, but I have sometimes phoned well over a hundred times (I think my record was 177!) and the phone was constantly engaged. If you do by some miracle manage to get through, then by the time that happens the appointments are normally all gone. They also have a ridiculous policy that you can only get same day appointments, so if you have a non-urgent medical issue, such as a recurring pain or have mild symptoms which are not improving, you cannot simply book an appointment for a few days or a week or so later. The rationale apparently being that if you book in advance for a non-urgent medical issue then it leaves few slots available on that day for any urgent medical issues. This I can understand, to a degree, but given it's impossible to get an appointment for an urgent issue anyway then it really makes little difference. Pre-covid, it was possible to just queue up outside the surgery before they opened, and it was normally possible to get an appointment then because you could get in as soon as they opened and hopefully get a slot, but I understand they are no longer allowing walk-ins so the only option is to phone, and then you just disappear into an abyss of misery.

Bad service, Slow service, Unreliable service specifically from the receptionists. I understand the NHS in general is not that great but the GP in Chafford is considerably much worse than others I have been connected with in the past. 95% of the time your probably better of going to the Hospital with any problem you may have. Doctors at chafford hundred GP though I have a good experience with.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Every time I phone I’m in a long queue, no matter what time. Very rude staff on reception and impossible to get anything done. Worst doctors I’ve ever seen.

appalling attitude from receptionists on the phone who act like they couldn’t care less what the problem is as it doesn’t affect them. My child has ended up very ill because they didn’t want to try and get a phone call appointment as it was past 2pm regardless of the situation. 111 had to be called as an emergency, Funny how you see approximately 6 people at reception if you ever go to the doctors yet none are helpful

Doctors are amazing! Let down is reception. I don't need to see a doctor often but when i do, i would like to see a doctor and not get fobbed off to a nurse. Reception staff are incredibly rude. You tell them you need a doctor and you don't always want to go into detail regarding your health concerns (they arent medically trained they are receptionists) and always try suggest nurse. They don't make it easy especially if you call 1030am and say you want get on the afternoon call list. They say no, you have to call back at 11am which is only 30 mins later and even when you explain you that you have to work there is no flexibility. Am i paying national health to be told i can't see a doctor. Time the system goes private, like in Europe. You pay 10 euro to see a doctor as you want. Certain doctors are good. Only let down is reception who are in need of customer service training. They even hang up when you have been on hold for ages.
