We had a bad experience with Century 21 after dealing with Matthew when attempting to purchase a property. We had viewed the property initially, and then offered a chance for a second viewing which we accepted and also attended. Matthew explicitly told us that if we were to offer on the property, that it would not be sold from underneath us, and that he would come back to us with some feedback of our offer. Exactly the opposite happened, and another offer was made on the same day, and if we had not followed up, we have not known that Matthew had simply taken the highest offer without letting us know. The issue isn't the fact that someone had made a higher offer, but more so the the mis-information that there would be no issue with second viewing and not selling the property from under our nose. Additionally, our offer was not acknowledged in writing, and we had no confirmation that our offer was even submitted to the vendors. Its a shame, as this branch is centrally located in Mere Green, but I for one would not list any of my other properties or my main residence with Century 21, simply down to how we were dealt with, and the poor service received. Acres, Paul Carr, Green etc on the other hand offer a far superior service by comparison. In case you have forgotten who I am, its the gentleman you showed the house to with the Golliwog doll on display. Cheers

0 stars out of 5 if I could! He consistently told us that he'd had lots of offers and we needed to raise ours. When we spoke to a different member of staff on the listed office number, he told us not a single offer had been made. 4 weeks after an offer was made, a mortgage had been accepted and solicitors were instructed, Peter Bennett waited until we had paid our solicitors their fees, paid £1500 for a extended survey and then had the indecency to email me at 8pm on a Sunday night telling me that he had sold the property to someone else as 'the whole process should have been completed in 4 weeks'. He also made derogatory comments about our female financial adviser working part time and being poor at her job. When my partner went to the office the following day to confront him he hid behind a door and refused to come out. Absolutely disgusting service and cost us over 2k. Since going to other viewings, other local estate agents have told us how Century 21st have a poor reputation and told us to avoid them.
