I am studying L3 sports massage at St Mary's. We are 8 weeks in. The anatomy and physiology (A&P) lectures are held in the morning followed by practical massage classes in the afternoon. The A&P lectures are really interesting and presented clearly but the amount of information given feels huge sometimes so being organised and reviewing the information regularly is key. The lecture slides are available beforehand which is really useful. The practical massage sessions are fun and literally 'hands on'. We practice on each other! Practising on different people provides excellent insight in to different body and muscle types. The course is very enjoyable.

I took the reflexology itec course. I found it excellent, and we are provided with a lot of information. There is 2 reasons why i could not give 5 stars. 1: there should be more attendance days involved and in a certain time-frame e.g. every 2 weeks, and not have a gap of one month in between. 2; when sent out the information before the first day it says you have to have all these items for your first attendance day. I had to spend a lot of money to order in all those items with express delivery so i will receive them on time. And on the first day we found out this was not necessary at all, we went through the items that we will need for the course, and the specific restrictions only apply for the day of the exam (e.g. all towels must be navy colour). Other than these it is a great course and would definitely recommend St. Mary`s short courses.

I am really enjoying learning British Sign Language with St Mary's University and feel it is very beneficial to my line of work. I really look forward to the classes each week, they are relaxed and fun but you learn so much. I have made some great friends since starting the classes as well. The booking process and communications about the classes has been really good as well.

I have had a really pleasant experience with the Short Courses at St Mary's University, Twickenham. I have completed the Beginners short course in British Sign Language and have enjoyed it throughly. I liked that they offered me a discount as I am already a student at the University, and how informative yet laid back the classes were. It fits in well with my other studies and work, is much less expensive and gives you a taste of a subject before going straight into Level 1 BSL. I enjoyed the course so much I now participate in the beginners intermediate course.
