My child has been refused to have water during Saturday's sessions (3-5). It happened more than once. Jennifer told them: 'no drinking waters'. Cruel and disgusting practice. We have a few sessions left that we paid for but obviously we won't be coming back. EDIT: It is a desperate act that after my review there have been accounts created just to put the positive reviews for the place. Also if you scroll down there are 3 reviews created by 3 separate accounts all called 'Christopher/Chris chalk' (head coach). It makes it even more worrying. What I wanted to add is that they don't have any checklist at the entrance so you could basically walk in without paying and they might be unaware who is inside. A huge safety concern. When I was paying for the classes for the second time via a different payment method it wasn't showing on the account I have created when I signed up so I rang them to ask if the payment went through and if my child could attend the sessions. I had to call them a few times to be told someone will contact me soon. They did contact me after a few weeks to say it's ok to come. My child had a toe injury during the session but told me there was no attention given. There was never any feedback given about what they were doing or how the child was doing. My experience is that the place is lacking basic safety standards as well as lack of professionalism from the owner. Plus, refusing water at any point, doesn't matter if it is a warm up or not - is wrong.

My daughter has recently started the Saturday class and is loving every minute of it. She always comes out full of joy. The staff are not only highly qualified in what they do, but their care towards the children is all you could ask for as a parent. I think it's a real shame about some of the reviews made recently about the club. I know from speaking to the staff myself that the children are allowed water breaks - when it's appropriate and safe to do so. I'm a teacher myself and if I allowed kids to constantly go and get a drink when requested they would never participate in class. And allowing parents in to watch classes is not only a distraction for the children, but it can also upset and distress those who don't have parents in to sit and "comfort" them. 9 times out of 10 they calm down once the parents have gone! I would highly recommend Central Gymnastics to anyone who is thinking of putting their children into the sport. The staff are knowledgeable, caring and provide a positive learning environment for children.

An absolutely fantastic club, that goes above and beyond for the needs of each child. Staff are extremely professional and encouraging. I particularly like that the Pre - School children are given the opportunity to not only have fun, but take managed risks, and develop an overall sense of independence. Since my child has started attending the 3 - 5 years Independent classes (we are not allowed to stay and watch), their confidence has increased so much. Would highly reccomend!

When booking online you’re not able to book a taster session, which means you have to book a term and request a refund, if necessary. The refund took me over three weeks to receive - following two phone calls and a number of emails. Ultimately we decided not to go back at this time because our daughter attended younger class (3-5 year olds) and parents weren’t permitted to stay. We felt it was too young to leave our 3 year old in the care of adults we have never met and for her to access the toilet independently or with support of adults we don’t know. Considering the process provisions such as nursery take to support young children, and their families, to settle in and establish relationships; we felt this establishment lacked understanding of pastoral care of children of this age and stage. From our daughter’s feedback, it sounded like there were great elements to the session. They played a bubble game on the floor and built confidence using some equipment such as the beam. As a teacher in the local community, I’ve heard from a number of families/pupils they feel CGA are more suited to older pupils 8/9 years plus, so we may try again in a few years time.
