FAQ

What is the quality of the olive oil produced by your cooperative?

Our cooperative produces high-quality olive oil that is known for its rich flavor and aroma. We take great care in selecting and harvesting our olives to ensure that only the best fruits are used in our oil production. Our oil is also regularly tested for purity and quality to ensure that our customers receive only the best product.

How are the olives harvested and processed?

We use traditional methods of olive harvesting, which involves handpicking the olives from the trees. The olives are then brought to our processing facility, where they are cleaned and sorted. We use a cold-pressing method to extract the oil from the olives, which helps to preserve the natural flavors and nutrients of the fruit.

What is the process for becoming a member of the cooperative?

To become a member of our cooperative, you must first meet certain eligibility requirements, such as owning olive groves in the region we operate in. Once you meet these requirements, you can submit an application to join the cooperative. If your application is approved, you will be required to make an initial investment and attend a training session on our cooperative's policies and procedures.

How are profits distributed among members?

Our cooperative operates on a profit-sharing model, which means that profits are distributed among members based on their level of investment in the cooperative. Members who have invested more receive a larger portion of the profits. However, we also have policies in place to ensure that all members receive a fair share of the profits.

What is the cooperative's approach to sustainability and environmental stewardship?

As a cooperative that operates in the agriculture sector, we are committed to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. We use natural farming methods that promote soil health and biodiversity, and we prioritize the conservation of water resources. We also work closely with local organizations to promote sustainable farming practices and protect the environment.

Usual fare for a small to medium Co-op. Decent selection of fresh fruit and veg and cool section of meats and small selection of frozen foods. Staff seem OK with good store layout knowledge if you can't find what you are after. Likely to be open later than 4pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
