FAQ

What is the quality of the olive oil produced by your cooperative?

Our cooperative takes great pride in producing high quality olive oil. We use traditional methods and carefully selected olives to ensure that our olive oil is of the highest standard.

How are the olives harvested and processed?

Our olives are hand-picked by skilled farmers who have years of experience in harvesting olives. The olives are then transported to our cooperative where they are carefully sorted and processed. We use modern equipment to extract the oil from the olives, while still maintaining the traditional methods that give our olive oil its unique taste.

What is the process for becoming a member of the cooperative?

To become a member of our cooperative, you must first meet our eligibility requirements. These requirements include being a farmer who produces olives, and being committed to our cooperative's values and principles. Once you meet these requirements, you can apply to become a member and our board will review your application.

How are profits distributed among members?

As a cooperative, we believe in fair distribution of profits among our members. Our profits are distributed based on the amount and quality of olives that each member provides to our cooperative. This ensures that our members are fairly compensated for their hard work and dedication.

What is the cooperative's approach to sustainability and environmental stewardship?

At our cooperative, we are committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. We use sustainable farming practices to minimize our impact on the environment, and we are constantly looking for new ways to improve our sustainability efforts. We also work closely with local organizations to promote environmental awareness and education within our community.

Another Coop in the village, shop is quite small, aisles are tight, would be a struggle for wheelchair users, but they sell almost everything you need for daily supplies; fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh breads and cakes, meals and meats, tinned food, frozen items, baking items, pet foods, newspapers and greeting cards, sweets, biscuits, crisps and treats (with vegan selections 👍🏻) milk, alcohol and nonalcoholic drinks, meds, household cleaning products, flowers and plants, also Costa coffee machine, cash machine and lottery machine, etc. Staff are helpful and polite. There are free road parking spaces right outside the shop, also a small free car park a few steps from the shop.
