You get what you pay for. Room was clean enough, although the smell of bleach when we arrived was pretty intense, so I dread to think what happened beforehand. It's in the bum end of nowhere, behind a rundown building that was once a Little Chef. It looks pretty bad from the outside, but it's fine for a cheap one-nighter.

It's been a long time since I've been given a key for a hotel room and not a card, so that gives you some idea of what the place is like. Rooms are basic. There is room for a sofa and table, but you just get a hard, uncomfortable chair. Just one single socket near the TV, so no good if more that one person wants to charge a phone overnight in the double room. Decor is dated, but everything was clean. The bed wasn't great. I could tell the mattress was old as you could feel it. WIFI worked fine. there's no issue logging on to it. The room temperature was fine and the hotel was quiet but there were only 4 other cars in the car park at 10 pm. It is quite close to a main road but no noise from it and I was in a front facing room. The entrance could do with better signage as it's difficult to see in the dark as it isn't lit up at all. Now, what we need to remember is that this cost £38 for one night, including the WIFI, so you get what you pay for. Which is in simple terms is a dated but clean hotel room.
