What a lovely little cafe hidden away in awesome surroundings. Good food, fair pricing, good service with a smile. Would recommend. Dietary restrictions: Alternative milk supplied at no extra charge. Hot milk for my tea at first but quickly rectified.

Went for the Coronation afternoon tea. Did not live upto expectations. Having seen others pictures of the savouries ours looked nothing like theirs. The tart had so little filling in it you could not taste it. The egg mayo roll was also scantily filled and no garnish and the other sandwiches were OK. Scones and jam well you can't fault them. The carrot cake was dry and the lemon and sweet pea even drier and very claggy. The passion fruit and raspberry cheesecake was the highlight of the cakes. The setting upstairs was disappointing and the table setting basic. I expected more for the cost and the description of the food. I would say though that the servers were great and very hard working. Vegetarian options: The option was more cucumber sandwiches to replace the chicken ones.

I used to have breakfast here a lit when I worked in Westminster, so I was disappointed to discover they no longer serve smoked salmon or the refreshing booster juices. It's still a great spot for a discreet breakfast.
