Disgusting!!! Walked in. Asked for a merlot. The barmaid told me she has one similar. She brought them over. The glass was huge and the amount of wine was minimum and definitely not a large measure. The cost... £17! When i asked why it was so expensive she told me i did tell you we didnt have that one yet she managed not to tell me how much it cost. A total rip off! Absolutely fuming and will tell everyone i know not to go there

Delightful ambiance. Cosy with a knowledgeable and friendly staff that can guide you through their wine selection course by course as you go. Lewis was our sommelier and he was fabulous. We have a decent wine knowledge and yet we still got some excellent recommendations for wine we didn’t know as well. If you’re in York and enjoy exploring wine, this is the place to come. The Burrata was excellent as was the Lamb Salami.

Absolutely brilliant. Great atmosphere, and great food! Along with the classic Margherita, the menu features many unique options. I went for the Ottolenghi, which had creme fraiche, smoked cheddar, mushrooms, pistachio pesto, and preserved lemon and was not disappointed! Paired very well with the chimichurri dip recommended by our waitress. The wine list, as you'd expect, was extensive and had many great options, along with a rotating selection found on the blackboard. I will definitely be back soon!

Pizzas were stunning, wine was good. Ambience very pleasant. Waiting staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and gauged customers well. Tiniest blip was a dog owner with a pair of overly chatty dogs who should have known better to leave.
