Was a good service, but very overpriced! Considering most opticians charge £20-£30 for an eye test. I payed £64 and it has really put me off going back for future eye tests there.

Had some glasses specially made for my prescription that the factories do not usually make . The staff really worked hard to get my glasses correct . Instead of two pairs of glasses I only have one and can see everything so clearly . Extremely happy with these glasses . Would definitely recommend

Had my ear unlocked by Mitch. Very professional and courteous guy. Did a painless procedure which was quite pleasant really, and bingo, my ear was unblocked and I can hear properly again. Not expensive either. Full marks from a very happy chappy.

Collected my first pair of varifocals at the weekend and I am so impressed. The service was outstanding and I can see better than I've been able to for quite a while. The lenses are so good that I find it hard to believe they are actually varifocals! I can read labels and small print again AND watch television. It feels a bit over the top to say a pair of spectacles are life changing, but it does feel like they are.

Have been a customer here for years and obviously spent a lot of money during my visits and on the plus side, I have to say that Karen, the Receptionist and the Optometrists, have always been so helpful and professional. However, when my prescription was last changed, I specifically said I was limited for cash and wanted to spend the least possible. I was told that due to working on a computer at work, the 'best' varifocal lens, would give me the best and largest viewing area possible and that with this Opticians top spec equipment (the best in Rayleigh, apparently), the glasses would be second to none. So, I paid £724 for my glasses and sight test, naively believing that I would be well and truly sorted. Sadly, the glasses did not meet the expectation assured, as I could not focus the whole of my computer screen, however much I adjusted it, nor do the job as promised for the rest of my vision and I was finding I had to remove them to see the tv properly. I persevered for as long as I could and decided after a few months that enough was enough and went back to share my disappointment. I was told that i had left it too long and that even the best lenses only have a limited section for computer viewing and that I needed to move my tv to see that better and that was that!!!! I have had no choice but to persevere with glasses that are clearly not up to spec, but have finally reached the decision that I can't carry on and will have to change them, thus spending even more money. I am very angry & upset at wasting so much money on a product unsuitable for use and not receiving adequate aftercare service and will therefore be going elsewhere for a decent pair of glasses. If however, you're happy to be sweet talked into spending a lot of money, on a product that doesn't fit the bill, whilst being told by the owner about the big house he used to rent and the several skiing holidays he has a year, then be my guest and go to this opticians!!!!

The staff are really helpful and very professional. I pay monthly for my contacts and because I have a direct debit it entitled me to lots of discounts on lenses and frames and I think I also get a free eye test. I would and have recommended them to friends. Very happy customer! :)
