    Rooms: We got a free upgrade from Knights to Earl and were really impressed with the space and facilities. Some furniture was a little old and tired, damaged etc but was very clean and spacious and bed was very comfy. Walkability: There are plenty of walks nearby and around the estate with easy to follow maps provided by reception Food & drinks: Second to none food and drink, very high quality and if anything fell below standard we got it knocked off the bill without even asking!!

    We visited the Spa first which was incredibly clean and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The facilities were pretty amazing and we didnt want to leave! We then went to the Terrace for our meal, the Terrace was light and airy and again the staff were all very helpful, the food came promptly and tasted lovely. We will be back soon!

    Characterful country house beautifully designed with Rapunzel towers, sweeping grounds and cedar trees, deer, folly's and lakes. A friendly, knowledgeable, interested concierge & good food. Some staff are less experienced also shooting, riding & cycling not available when visited. Well worth a visit. Nearby activities: Stumpy's Caverns near Pately Bridge, an ex police station in Ripon and Middleham village & castle are all very different and interesting, well run places to visit. All 20 to 40 minutes away from Swinton park hotel in beautiful countryside.
