Lovely independent tea shop opposite Jane Austens house in Chawton. There is plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside, to the side of the café. I had tea and cappuccino cake, both of which were delicious and very reasonably priced. If you are in the village, it is a lovely place to stop off and quench your thirst. There is ample parking nearby. Parking: On street & a car park nearby.

Delightful little cafe opposite Jane Austen's cottage, very cosy and friendly. There is a pretty little outdoor seating area opposite Jane's cottage, so you can enjoy the tea and Cakes and soak up the atmosphere and listen to the birdsong. There is a free car park and some lovely walks through woodland close by. Could be improved with a greater range of vegan/dairy free options, but my crumpets and marmalade were delicious. Excellent tea. Dietary restrictions: Could do with more dairy free options.

If you’re a spurs fan , don’t enter this shop it will give you nightmares ! There’s cups everywhere ! Lol , they’re hanging from the ceiling in their hundreds ! No seriously , if you’ve come to view the house of Jane Austen this is a lovely spot for tea and cake after. The prices are reasonable so for two tea and cake around a tenner
