Carryall 550 supplied by Carryway Wakefield Vehicle Requirements: Carry 2 people and hand work tools. Roofed seating area. Electric powered. Able to cross a ford up to 6 inches deep. Safe traversing of sloping ground of about 20 degrees max. Able to cope with slippery grass and soft conditions. Tow a light trailer. Google searches lead to the Carryall Range s from Club Cars and supplied by Carryway Wakefield office. Carryway Service was superb at all stages. They recommended the electric Carryall 550. New & 2nd hand offers were looked at including cost and availability. I settled for a 2nd hand unit from Scotland with various extras including a new set of knobbly tyres, 50mm ball hitch, tool rack and roofed open sided cab. I downloaded an instruction manual which is essential reading prior to taking receipt. The electronic controls are very simple but with plenty going on behind the scene. The vehicle arrived via Wakefield having been immaculately cleaned and a new set of batteries fitted. All other requested extras were fitted except for 2 tyres due to a supply problem. After a short period of use a few problems were found such as would be expected on a 2nd hand vehicle. When the engineer visited to fit the 2 tyres he also attended to the problem items and had time to advise my assistant and myself on maintenance and usage. The Carryall 550 is meeting all and more of my requirements and I wish I had to thought to buy it sooner. The new tyres have proved good on ice and snowy conditions. I have no hesitation in recommending Carryway and the Carryall 550 to anyone needing to meet similar requirements to my own.
