Went to this store armed with measurements for the hall, landings and stairs for my town house. Asked for an estimate for a mid range carpet and good underlay and was quoted £1040...I questioned this as being really good value and asked if I needed someone to come round and measure properly...was told no need. So dutifully paid and booked. On the day the fitters came they took a look at the area and said there was not enough...the whole of the bottom hall was missing!!!! I very quickly went back to the shop and had to pay another £500 to get the further amount of carpet and underlay....apparently I was initially served by the manager Curtis....hes not very good at his job if he can't read measurements!!! Fuming is an understatement...if all the carpet and underlay had been purchased at the same time it would have worked out cheaper. So I emailed the company to see if they would refund the difference for their managers appalling mistake....surprise surprise NO RESPONSE Never again will I purchase from them and I advise others to be extremely careful

I purchased carpet on the 7th of March which was to be fitted on 15th of March, on the 14th of March I called to check for an appointment time and was told that my appointment was a PM appointment the following day. On the 15th I waited until 4:30pm and called the store to say no one has turned up, they said that the appointment was changed to AM however no call was given to me to let me know it had been change. Speaking to the manager (Curtis) honestly is like speak to a brick wall. No apologies given nor a solution. I then requested a refund to be told that this is at a managers discretion, baring in mind the appointment was not missed on our end rather that of carpet giant Charlton, I thought as a matter of curtesy a refund would of been a issue. How wrong I was.. going back and forth with Curtis (store manager) wasn’t getting any results so I then emailed Sean (director of 16 years) Sean did email us back with statements such as we have no phone record of the call you made on the 14th for you Appoitment time… I then emailed Sean my call log on the 14th clarifying I did in fact call and speak to someone in store. Five days later and still no response from Sean and still withholding my money. I would advise you to rethink buying from Carpet Giant!
