My daughter had a good variety of dresses to choose from and had help for a some of the time. Unfortunately the staff were overwhelmed with bookings, too many for them to cope with so instead of each child have attention and help the staff were spread thinly and it made the experience quite a stressful one. My daughters best friend who came at the same time had a completely different experience, she was put in an ‘overspill dressing room’ in front of a toilet and was interrupted every 5 minutes (while she was half dressed) for staff to go in the room she was put in front of. Because some of the dresses were abit small for her she was instantly shown to ‘the rail for bigger girls’ and dresses than my Nan wouldn’t wear! She isn’t a big girl at all but was left in floods of tears after being made to feel fat, no staff consoled her or even paid her much attention. I also noticed that the thinner girls were asked to upload pictures on the night of prom but the bigger girls in the room wasn’t. All children have the right to be spoilt for an occasion like this, instead what I witnessed made me upset not just because I knew the girl but as a mum. Make the appointment system manageable for staff to treat each child with the same amount of dignity and respect instead of some being an inconvenience.

We walked in and immediately felt at ease and very welcome. The ladies both helped my daughter with suggestions on choices and after a very exciting couple of hours we said yes to the dress! Thank you so very much for being part of my daughters exciting journey.

We visited Cargo and Sue was absolutely fantastic. Sue helped my daughter to choose her dress and she couldn't help her enough. Sue wasn't pushy with selling, but just provided the right amount of support. There was a great range of dresses and my daughter was encouraged to try as many as she wanted to and without any pressure. Thank you so much for an incredible service and I would highly recommend a visit.

Don’t think there’s enough lines to express how impressed I am with this shop. I ordered a dress over the internet and service from start to finish was amazing they went above and beyond. Had an amazing experience this weekend shopping for the perfect prom dress for my daughter . The whole team were fantastic and of course we found the most perfect dress. Couldn’t recommend enough ! But shop early to get the dress you want as they are strict ( which is fab ! ) with only one style per school !
