Having used a transit wheelchair for 2 years + decided to upgrade to a power chair. For me this realisation was with mixed emotions, excitement for my own independence but a painful reminder that my mobility was getting so bad.. I had been looking around at other mobility shops, but I just didn’t feel comfortable. My husband found careco online and our nearest branch was Canterbury, so off we went. Entering the store it was bright and spacious , which was so nice, and then a gentleman came up to us and introduced himself as Lee Richards and asked how he could help.. He was polite, knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble, went through all products with us, I tried all products, I felt so comfortable and at ease with him, he was very understanding with me and my issues. He went that extra mile… I was torn between 2 power chairs so my husband and I decided go home to weigh up pros and cons, we told Lee we would be back the following Saturday, because we knew Lee would be there. We went back on the following Saturday and Lee was there to greet us.. I tried both power chairs, inside and outside, I live on quite an incline and with some very bumpy bridle ways, so chair needed to cope with these… my husband tried loading and unloading chair in boot of car and decision was made..foldalite trekker in red. Lee helped me choose a bag for back of my chair, he went through insurance and service plan, which we also purchased. All in all a very pleasant and comfortable experience, which I am so so grateful for.. So a massive thank you to Lee… on receiving my power chair, just 3days later, I gave it a test run and it does everything I wanted it to do and it’s very supportive and comfortable, Would be happy to recommend this store and Lee to family and friends.
