Care Concern's team of incredible carers have looked after my Aunt for the last 8 years. I have had daily contact with Clare and her team over this period as I have had Power of Attorney over her Health and Welfare. I am based in Leeds and my Aunt was able to remain at her home in Chiswick, London, whilst the team at Care Concern cared for her 24 hours a day. Despite the distance I was so confident the team would be there for her every minute of the day and the excellent daily communication with the Management team gave me this confidence. The carers are so lovely, professional and truly dedicated. My Aunt had Alzheimers and the carers were so sympathetic to her worsening condition that is inevitable with this disease. The carers knowledge and dedication was apparent every day and my Aunt was so loved by all the carers and my Aunt loved them ! Being so far away this gave me so much comfort, simple things like daily personal updates and the hour by hour feedback from the OpenPass App, I could see what she was eating, her daily responses and how medication was being administered.I knew they were dedicated in ensuring my Aunt was safe and loved. This mix of excellent professional communication and a team of dedicated, loving carers is all that i could have hoped for and i knew My Aunt was incredibly lucky for the last 8 years of her life in the face of such a debilitating disease. These were all recommendations that I had heard about Care Concern, and which influenced my decision to seek their help in 2018. As time and life has moved on, I feel that the choice we made then, was absolutely the right one for our family, and that those adjectives used about Care Concern were, and absolutely are, spot on. Covid 19 has brought all of these attributes into sharp focus, and it has been such a relief to know, that whatever the circumstances, Care Concern are there, ready to provide us with their usual expertise and Professionalism. Care Concern organized all the care for my mum in the last 18 months of her life and Clare Drewell and her team managed everything so well. The carers who work for Care Concern are all lovely, always kind and respectful and gentle and I recommend the agency whenever a friend is in the difficult place of having to find care for elderly relatives.
