Extremely disappointed with how some doctors treat their patients and how they assign patients to the wrong doctors who are not qualified for the condition. They have 0 management over what’s going on in the clinic. Some other doctors are fantastic but took someone almost 6 years to diagnose me with a mental health condition and instead of helping me he discharged me and now I am left without any help despite asking the staff to assign an appropriate doctor they are ignoring my emails.

This place has been life-changing for me. Both my psychiatrist and psychologist have gone out of their way every time to make me feel supported at every step of the way. Everyone was very responsive, respectful and display acts of care and human decency. It’s still a long way for me, but walking into the Cardinal Clinic has been one of the best choices for me personally. Thank you.

My doctor chose to ignore my distress and told me to deal with my anxiety myself, which resulted in my discharging myself. No psychologist was allocated to me and I feel deeply let down. The clinic has a way to go before it can claim to be a centre of excellence.

The Cardinal is brilliant. It has helped me recover from several serious episodes after being an inpatient there. I first came when I was 23 in 2013 and my most recent stay was during the pandemic. The nurses do vary but overall they are really fantastic, particularly George who is one in a million. He always manages to make me laugh even when I don't want to. The reception team are very understanding, polite and patient, especially compared to the NHS. The inpatient classes have really helped me a lot, particularly Amanda's yoga and mindfulness and Martin's anger management. I have had both Dr deSilva and Dr Macaulay as psychiatrists and they have always listened well but been tough with me when needed. I also was recommended Marie Claire in my last inpatient stay and my life has changed substantially for the better since I have been seeing her for regular therapy. I believe the Cardinal has saved my life a number of times, but most of all, the skills I have learnt from here have enabled me to look after my own mental health and be my own best champion- thank you for empowering me and keeping me going CC team.

Came worried sick to find help for my daughter with social anxiety but left with unpleasant aftertaste. Instead of focusing on how to help my daughter , I was judged from the moment we came in. Little remarks/ blame were directed towards me . If I’m not handling this difficult situation correctly then I would like to be given advice and support and actually be spoken to my face rather than behind my back. Very unprofessional. Neither my daughter nor my husband will want to go back there either.

I have to believe that the care given is good BUT.....the building is gloomy, dreary & dark which looks as if it hasn't been decorated or refurnished in many years. Considering the state of mind of many of those that attend there, I cannot believe that no effort has been made to make it bright & airy & welcoming. made me shudder m
