I was guifted a £35 voucher for my birthday, l went into the salon as the website was very confusing. I had gel nails with chrome finish done, this was on the recommendation of staff. It has been years since I last had my nails done, so on Saturday 6th may 9am I arrived. It was a friendly atmosphere and I was offered refreshments. I explained I was a hairdresser and had experienced shellac years ago and it had peeled off. The staff member (asian lady) informed me that this was the same, however she continued. The whole procedure took 30 minutes, two days later, I noticed nails missing before I had even got back to work. I contacted the Salon on Monday 8th and left a message, on the 9th I received a call asking me to come for a repair, more nails had gone at this stage. I was booked in for the Thursday at 3pm, on the day at 9am i called in. A crowd of beauticians were at the reception desk (very unprofessional) I asked for privacy to speak to one staff member (the one whom had done my nails) they obliged. She was very coy and by now I had 4 nails left , I explained there was no point doing my nails again as it would only peel off again, so I compromised. Not to ask for a refund, I asked for a gel pedicure, she was unaware I had rang and was booked in, staff communication appeared to be nil. When I arrived on the Saturday at l pm (she asked if I was going to be charged, I told her no) I arrived and 15 minutes later left with my gel toes done, during the treatment conversation was strained, apart from how many nails were still on , after an actual week later ! There was also a skitty remark about how I had been to the salon twice in a week. I have had a very successful hair and beauty business for 38 years and I know how the beauty trade is suppose to operate, there was no prep used on both occasions in order to form a key on my nails for the gel to hold. I am new to regular nail treatments and having told friends they were appalled, that a £45 nail experience (very expensive) was done so badly and should grow out, I will not be recommending my friends and clients to attend this establishment.
