They produce a wide range of books and, while I'm sure every house has a bad print run, I've yet to read anything of interest to me from Canongate that has left me feeling empty. Their publications are always stellar in quality, and this is balanced with bountiful catalogues with a lot of choice to suit a variety of readers.
