I cannot recommend Canonbury Hair, and specifically Karen, enough! Karen has been cutting my hair for 20+ years and without fail has done an amazing job. From my first few hair cuts as a kid, to my pre-wedding haircut she has helped me to adapt my style and is brilliant at knowing what will suit my face shape/hair type. I have moved away from the area but happily travel 1h+ to come to get my hair cut & highlighted here. She is also one of the nicest people - I always enjoy our catch ups. Gian is just the best. I desperately needed a color correction and really did not like my hair when I went in, and he completely fixed it. Came out feeling so great about it. My hair is curly, and he knew exactly what to do with it. He did a consult beforehand and explained the entire process to me. Was my first time there, and will now be my go-to spot! Highly, highly recommend :)

What a wonderful experience! Gian transformed my over-processed orange hair into a beautiful deep ash colour. He was meticulous about every stage of the process. My hair was softly layered to frame my face and give my hair some much needed volume and movement. The girl who washed my hair was lovely and even that was relaxing and perfect. I left the salon with a shiny blow-dry. I feel like a different person and I have enjoyed showing off my new hair this weekend. I have found my hairdresser for life! Gave this place a try after I’ve been disappointed several times by other salons in the Islington area and so glad I did. Karen gave me a wonderful haircut and intuitively understood what I wanted with very little specification from me. She was lovely and friendly, and the salon is beautiful, airy, and calm. Finally their prices are truly very reasonable which I so appreciate, especially in this area. I hope this salon never changes! Thank you Karen X
