Louise has been absolutely fantastic with our separation anxiety training over the last four weeks! Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. It's been really great to work with a trainer who has been in a similar position to us, and really empathises with how difficult SA can actually be. :)

Louise has been a godsend when it comes to helping our puppy, Mav. We knew Mav had separation anxiety from a few weeks old and we would be totally lost without Louise’s help and guidance. Louise truly goes above and beyond, and her support has been so incredibly valuable. Could not recommend enough!!

Louise has been helping us with our puppy Ned over the past few months and I don't think we could have gotten to where we are now without her support. We couldn't recommend her enough! Her extensive knowledge and experience really comes through with the way she approaches training. He suffered from very bad separation anxiety before and after an initial 8 week 1-2-1 training programme he made amazing progress. Even after finishing, the support has been great and she continues to offer her help. It started with a free 30 minute consultation to create a bespoke course for us, which included daily video reviews of our training, daily updates to our training difficulty and access to an app to record our progress. She made sure not to rush and we took it at our dog's pace to ensure we didn't reverse any hard work we'd put in and now he's quite happy being left for nearly an hour! Thanks Louise!

Louise is just wonderful! She is so friendly, understanding and has great knowledge about the puppies! When signing up for the puppy classes she was very highly recommended and I will pass on that recommendations too! Having access to the weekly classes and the online portal as well as having Louise on hand to help with anything we need or worries we had! She is fab and Luna is super cute too!

I recommend Louise to ANYONE experiencing the difficult life of ownership of a dog with separation anxiety. Her unique view of SA through the eyes of the dog AND the owner set her apart from other behaviourists I contacted, prior to hiring her to help us. I began the 8 week programme to help me with my 1 year old spaniel's separation anxiety. I chose Louise specifically as she is certified with Julie Naismith (author of Be Right Back) All I can say is it's the best money I've ever spent, not just for my dog, but for myself too! My confidence in being able to get my dog over this was wavering, I was terrified of starting the training (it became a massive obstacle in my head and I was so scared of further setbacks and potential failure affecting my mental health) so I kept putting it off. But within 15 minutes of our first Zoom consult, I knew we were in the safest hands possible. Louise is as much a champion for me as my dog, she has first-hand experience of SA (her puppy is a month younger than my own, with the exact same issues) so she knows how isolating life with an SA dog can be. I found myself really opening up to her, she is a natural empath, something I have found lacking in other professionals – be it vets, trainers and behaviourists. Her belief in the force-free subthreshold training method shines through, we spoke about all the things I’d been advised to do in the past – leaving my boy to ‘cry it out’, leaving the radio on with a chew toy and expecting him to settle down. We are making steady progress with my dog's SA, following a programme set by Louise which she updates for me Monday-Friday. I wake up and see what the day’s exercise is, which is incredibly motivating. We then have a weekly session to monitor our progress. Louise reviews videos of my dog, scrutinises and shows me the tiny behaviours he exhibits that I don't see, and makes recommendations for further exercises based on her findings. I have her on WhatsApp if I'm ever unsure or want her to check she's seeing what I'm seeing on the camera. It's also nice to know I can vent to her on a bad day, and I know she understands. Louise has given my relationship with my dog a new lease of life, and I know soon I will have the freedom to leave my house without my dog, without fear of him not being able to cope.

Absolutely chuffed with the service we have received so far. After one coaching session there has been a HUGE turn around in my puppies behaviour! Louise has highlighted areas that would help to work on in a kind and gentle manner and I have found that by changing my responses, we have seen phenomenal results. I will definitely be continuing sessions as and when needed and have zero hesitations in recommending her to anyone! Top Quality Service.

My Labrador puppy Rosie and I have had such a great experience with Canine Friends. Louise is lovely, approachable and a great trainer. Training and walking Rosie has become a lot more fun since having training consultations with Louise, I only wish we had contacted Canine Friends earlier! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

It's a big decision leaving your 3 month old puppy with a stranger and we were very apprehensive of doing so at first but from the very first visit Louise reassured us with her knowledge and advice. He's come on leaps and bounds in their care over the past 7 months - they are professional, they know exactly what motivation he needs to improve on recall, loose lead walking etc. and they actively practice all of this on his daily walks whilst we're at work. On top of this, he truly loves every single member of the Canine Friends team which is clearly evident each time they visit so I would highly recommend them to each and every person!

I booked with Louise at Canine Friends for one-to-ones sessions to help with lead walking and recall for my Maltipoo, Rufus. Louise was extremely patient and is very knowledgeable and was more than willing to answer any silly questions that I had (being a first-time dog owner). I felt the training sessions were almost as enjoyable for me as they were for Rufus boosting both of our confidences going out on dog walks. I was also impressed with their Time To Pet app to book appointments, really easy to use and a great portal to communicate through. Following a few one-to-one sessions with Canine Friends, we were so happy and impressed with the level of training that we decided to book Rufus into their secure field social walks service. These sessions have helped Rufus to develop his social skills with other dogs as well as reinforcing recall that we have been working on. Mel really cares for each of the dogs, she has spacious dog transit van to transport the dogs to the secure fields to, carrying water on board and even wipes their paws on drop off if they are muddy. Through their app Time To Pet, Mel sends a report immediately after drop off and which includes photos from the session which is really nice and always lovely to see Rufus enjoying himself! We are really pleased and very happy with the level service with the secure field social walks, Rufus is always pleased to see Mel and we’ve seen a big difference in him and his confidence around other dogs. Very, very pleased with the results, thumbs up and paws up for Canine Friends!
