Brought my Range Rover to Candy's to enquire whether they could resolve a fault in the turbocharger. The fault wasn't affecting performance but it was causing greater fuel consumption than normal. They were confident they could attempt a relatively low-cost repair/modification without causing any damage. To cut a long story short they broke the turbocharger. They were unable to reverse their modification and I am left with a vehicle that dangerously falls into limp mode on any attempt to accelerate. Despite their incompetance they offered no apology and demonstrated no responsibility. Services: Auto rear window replacement, General repairs & maintenance

Roger, Gordon and their team have been looking after us for years and years, through our TD5 discos to the current LS322 rangie. Always manage to find a way of squeezing us in when something gives up the ghost (normally the air suspension these days). Good service and they dont take the p*ss.

I brought a Defender 90 from Candy’s in good faith, which included a full-service history and new service and MOT. The MOT was carried out, which showed up no advisories. On taking delivery, I found that the bonnet release did not work properly, plus the promised new service schedule was missing. After returning the car to the garage and a new bonnet release cable being fitted, the bonnet still did not open. Also, the paperwork for the service was not forthcoming. After a few miles, a loud vibration was coming from underneath the car, so I dropped the car into a local garage for a check, only to be told that the car was dangerous to drive, because of a broken shock absorber bush. On contacting the garage, I felt under pressure to take the car back to them to have the problem fixed. On question them on the missing service record, I was told that they needed the car back to check on when the service was done. This was only after I told them that I was having a RAC full car check. It then came to light, that the service had not been carried out as promised, so the car was returned to have a full service, shock bush repaired and a full car inspection. On returning the car, the vibration was still present, but when contacting the garage again, I was told that it was how I was driving the car! Only 50 miles on, the vibration got worst, and a loud knocking from under the body work. This then culminated in the engine management light come on and the car go into limp mode. This garage told me that they are Land Rover expects. Now that’s bloody funny, that Candy’s think that are experts, as I would trust them with my push bike, let alone any car!!
