Having returned from our holiday on 13July, we have contacted Canadian Affair several times to discuss the issues surrounding our delayed luggage and compensation for the inconvenience and distress this caused us for 5 days. Whilst on holiday in Canada we discovered that Canadian Affair do not have any local representatives in Canada and all issues have to be discussed via the Customer service department in the UK, and this is made extremely difficult due to the 8 hour time difference between the 2 countries. In short our luggage never left Manchester airport with us on our Air Transat flight (Air Transat own Canadian Affair) and we did not receive our luggage until we had been in Canada for 6 days. Canadian Affair are not interested in helping us recover our out of pocket expenses, we only had the clothes we stood in on arrival into Canada, or compensating us for our delayed luggage. In fact they blame Air Transat, although we had booked a package holiday back in late 2019, pre covid. Canadian Affair have had a substantial deposit from us since that time. We are still awaiting a response from the manager within their customer service department, and if I had known what I know now about the way Canadian Affair operate as a company and treat their customers, my advise to potential passengers/travellers is to use use a different company for your holiday.

I made 4 attempts to book a holiday last month with Canadian affair. As used once in past and very pleased. 3 x 45 minute phone calls to which no one answers, and you get cut off(tried different times of day) and also tried one of there “we’ll get back to you” emails. Sack your staff or get them to answer the bloody phone.

Yvonne at Canadian Affair has been fantastic - quick communication, excellent knowledge of the area and what is possible and clearly an expert in her field. The booking process was incredibly smooth and I know if I have any questions Canadian Affair will have the answers.
