I have two girls aged 9 and 12 who went on the last week of camp this summer 2022. They both had a fantastic time and are asking me to book again for next year. They said that they enjoyed the food are were always offered seconds and sometimes thirds. The games that involved the whole camp were the favorites and there was a lot of singing in the weeks that followed. I booked them to go on the bus back to London and the camp provided them with a pic-nic for the journey. It should have been easy from there if it were not for a train strike!! They also enjoyed having some session where there were choices of activities as my two are very into drama so headed straight for the drama group. I enjoyed the daily updates and the peace of mind that they were being looked after by a very capable team. Thank you so much to all the team a great job, well done!!!! We have been telling everyone about this fantastic camp.

My 9 year old daughter went to Camp Crusoe last August. It was her first big trip away from home so she was a quite nervous as well as excited, but she ended up having the time of her life. She felt well looked after by the kind and fun staff, and made a some great new friends with children from the UK and abroad. She loved that there were so many games and activities, and especially liked the art day where the camp counsellors got to teach them various arty activities, and the day spent out on the lake. She came home full of stories and songs, with boosted confidence and desperate to return next year to make more new friends. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants their child to have an adventurous trip away from home, having fun while in very safe hands.

We cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Camp Crusoe. Living in a large city and attending a day school, we were very keen for our daughter (11) to experience something of the outdoor life and to spend some proper time in the countryside. She went in 2021 and loved it so much that she went again in 2022! She had an even better time this year. Having dropped her off and collected her myself, I saw at first hand what an impressive place it is but, more importantly, how happy the environment is. I had absolute confidence in all the staff members that I met, and particularly in Jeremy Quarrie, who instilled absolute confidence in this nervous parent! We were kept informed on a daily basis as to how the day had gone and what they got had up to. It was a delight to see photos of our daughter very obviously having a fantastic time doing a whole range of exciting activities. She even had the confidence to row a kayak across a lake this summer (with parental supervision!). There is no way that she would have had the skills or the confidence to do this without Camp Crusoe. When she got back, she told me all about the friends she had made, and she is even seeing one of them this weekend. That is a friendship that would not have been made without Camp Crusoe. Thanks to everyone at Camp Crusoe - we were delighted with it.

I sent my 9 year old son to Camp Crusoe for a week in the summer hols 2021 and 2022. The experience we had was exactly as we had hoped for - good old fashioned fun. My son loves being outdoors and adored the games - some of which he has now introduced to his class mates at school! So refreshing to find a place children can be children in a place that upholds traditional values. Singing, camp fires, making friends - brilliant! Will be booking again for next year

My 10 year old daughter returned from her week at Camp Crusoe with a wide smile and a healthy, happy glow. We had an update each evening about all the fantastic fun they'd had, but she was regaling me with further stories for several days after collection. At school I always send her with extra snacks, but she came home saying she'd had more than enough delicious food every day. She'd had a tough year at school and having the chance to navigate friendships with the support of such capable and warm hearted staff has meant my girl has had a much stronger start to school this year. She had so much fun and was very well cared for. She can't wait to return next year. Thank you to all the staff.

Our experience of Camp Crusoe was INCREDIBLE… ⭐️ My 12yr old son had the most wonderful week of adventures, making friends & focussing on outdoor ‘old fashioned fun’. The hard working, fun leaders matched my sons energy & enthusiasm day in, day out. The camp was well organised, with so many exciting games to play/activities on offer. Jeremy communicated with parents every evening - a recap of the days events (including photos), amusing anecdotes which I very much enjoyed reading. In this relaxed and positive space, my son grew in confidence & learnt many new skills. The food was given high praise too! He is begging to go back next year! Thank you so much to Jeremy & the CC team.

My son went on this residential for a week this summer (2022). The website completely exaggerates the level of adventurous activities. These are all crammed into one very busy day. The rest of the week is onsite with games run by the camp counsellors (some are unpaid teenage volunteers). It may suit younger children but not 12 and over. The food was terrible quality. One morning mould was being cut from the bread by the camp counsellors before the young people ate it! Portions were too small and just not enough food to go around. My son was hungry many days out of the week. On the last day pick up was between 12pm and 2pm but the young people were not given lunch. His bed was so uncomfortable he could feel the springs. The only good thing was his camp counsellor ( a 17 year old volunteer) who tried really hard to make the week fun and was a great role model. Having tried to contact Jeremy Quarrie to voice my concerns I have had no response. I strongly advise parents not to book this summer camp.
