Our child went for a 3 day camp in Guildford. On the last 2 days he came back with packed lunch completely uneaten. We complained to the organisers but they insist he eat? What is he returned the lunch untouched? Amateur organisers. Negligence. Plus kids watch peppa pig loads. And I mean hours. Unqualified staff off the benches of secondary school. I do not recommend. They are some really good camps out there (barracuda for example) but camp beaumont is not one of them. If you complain you'll be quickly dismissed although the evidence is clear

I used to work for Camp Beaumont and if I were a parent. I wouldn’t even consider taking my child to any Camp Beaumont ( I may just be judging the 3 camps I’ve worked at, bearing in mind but not all camps are the same). Firstly, there are meant to be ratios of children to staff in each group. 8 children to 1 staff for example. One time we had 19 to 1 staff member. This does not get adhered to and actually puts your children at risk and are not 100% safe. Secondly, they don’t care about your child. They play the same activities every day and there is no difference in the structure of the day. This may just be because the staff do not get the appropriate breaks during the day. Thirdly, staff get no training at all. I’m a first aider and have been for a long time. At 1 camp the manager there were the first aider. We had a queue of kids who have banged their head (it happens, they are children). I ask her if she would want some help and her response was no, I am the first aider. I was gobsmacked. Fourthly, wages. No wonder why, they are struggling to find staff all the time. Your pay is shocking. One of the lowest paid jobs I’ve ever had. Finally, your child is not safe at Camp Beaumont. When they know they have an Ofstead inspection, they will call other camps to get staff quickly to show they are adhering to regulations. Avoid them. Please trust me

My three kids had a really bad time. I was very unimpressed with the lack of activities. It was absolutely nothing like the website. Apparently they were too young to use the bouncy castle slide properly so had to stay at the bottom of the slide. There was no sign of any of the other activities. Awful waste of money. Do not expect any semblance of what is shown on the website.

Camp Beaumont - Claremont Fan Court School. Each time my son (5) has attended he has been warmly welcomed and run in without looking back! The staff have remembered him on each occasion, they are fantastic and make every day feel like a real party! Both last summer and this half term he has been buzzing at the end of the day and his attendance really helps him develop his confidence and he has tried lots of new activities - the soft archery is a huge hit! Can't recommend Camp Beaumont team highly enough!

Nefarious experience in Colfes School. Disorganized. Monitors without preparation. Lack of matter I would look for another Camp summer.

Great Experience - Mill Hill. I have been sending my 8 Year Old son to Mill Hill for 3 years and he loves it. The team work really hard to ensure the kids have a great time and I am pleased to say we also see many familiar faces which allows continuity. The Management team are friendly and sensible and we also have great feedback sessions at the beginning and end of each day. My son has been able to try lots of activities that he wouldn't otherwise have tried and made lots of friends. He also loves the team and looks forward to going. What I would say to Parents is that you need to engage with any camp - this is not a place to dump your kids and have no further interaction ! I want to say a particular thank you for the additional care the team have taken in this unprecedented hot weather, it cannot be easy but they have kept a smile and enthusiasm whilst looking after a large number of excitable kids in scorching temperatures and ensured they are all safe, drinking and in the shade. Thank you. As a full time working Mum the camp allows my Son to have fun in the summer and me to head for the office knowing he is in great hands.
