FAQ
What is the typical style of prayer and worship at your Orthodox synagogue?
At our Orthodox synagogue, our prayer and worship follow traditional practices and customs. We use the Siddur and Chumash during services, and our prayers are typically chanted in Hebrew. We also have a strict separation of men and women during services. Are there separate seating areas or sections for men and women during services?
Yes, we have separate seating areas for men and women during services. This is in keeping with Orthodox tradition and Jewish law. What level of involvement or commitment is expected of members, and what are the associated fees or dues?
We encourage all members to be involved and committed to the community. We offer a range of programming and events for all ages, and we have various committees and volunteer opportunities. Our membership fees and dues are competitive with other synagogues in the area, and we offer financial assistance to those who need it.Can you provide information on the education and youth programs available for children?
We have a strong focus on education and youth programming at our synagogue. We offer a variety of classes and programs for children of all ages, including Hebrew school, bar/bat mitzvah preparation, and youth groups. Our goal is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children to learn about their Jewish heritage and traditions. Are there any membership requirements in order to attend services or events at your synagogue?
We welcome all members of the Jewish community to attend services and events at our synagogue. Membership is not required, but we do encourage those who attend regularly to consider becoming members in order to support our community and have a say in our decision-making processes.Reviews

Pork pies are really tasty from here and we always get some when we call in to skipton . Knocked a star off for the service though. Too many staff just stood about and not really that friendly or any Christmas cheer . Probably tired from working hard but customer service is a must . Pies are lovely though 😊

Nice pork pie. Brought several. Only thing is I was charged £8 for a large. When I went back to question this the lady said they are charged by the weight?? Never heard of that before. Wasn't clear from the price cards? Hopefully just a one off mistake or indeed it is charged individually by the weight.

The best pork pies!! I live in Australia now but whenever I come back to the UK to visit family, I always try to make time to come for a pork pie and my Aussie partner loves them too. Worth waiting for the hot ones fresh out of the oven, juicy, meaty and lovely pastry.

I was drawn to this place as it looked amazing. I love 'home made' pork pies. I bought a large pie (£7.15) and was delighted that it was still warm from cooking. A few hours later, I tried a slice. Here is the dilemma: the crust and jelly is the best I have tasted, the filling though is a total mess though, being a pink, overly minced lump of meat, with little seasoning and no texture. Sorry to the owner's for this, but I fail to see why anyone would repeatedly buy this. Once is really enough.
