Can I observe a class or attend a trial lesson before committing to regular classes?

How many students are typically in each class?

Our classes usually have between 10 and 20 students, depending on the level and type of class. We keep our class sizes small to ensure that each student receives individual attention and instruction.

Since I have started attending martial arts with Cambridge Kung Fu (over 7 years ago) my quality of life has improved immensely. Before this point in my life I was having cognitive, behavioral and emotional difficulties with moodiness, inattention, impulsiveness, concentration, comprehension, listening, social skills, the working memory & the short term memory, the processing speed, learning and difficulties with self motivation and intrusive thoughts as being only a few among many others. Often my short term contracts were terminated sooner mainly due to my inability to pay attention and remember oral instructions. From my own experience, attending Kung Fu sessions regularly improves all of the areas mentioned above and is helping me sustain my equilibrium as it keeps me alert, grounded and it reminds me to be in alignment with my core values. When I don't do martial arts, all of these difficulties are slowly emerging and my sense of awareness is gradually decreasing. From my recent observations I would like to emphasize that it is not sufficient to attend the Kung Fu sessions over a determined period of time but to continue doing so on a regular basis in order to sustain and optimize one's overall wellbeing. I particularly recommend attending the Cambridge Kung Fu sessions as part of a rehabilitation program in the individuals with a predisposition towards ADHD (including the Autism spectrum, Learning Difficulty, Anxiety, obsessive and compulsive traits etc.) due to acquired brain injuries, genetic abnormalities, environmental factors or other factors to improve their functioning as well as in the healthy individuals to keep their mind alert and keep them grounded in the most unpredictable moments of life. The downside of attending these sessions is that one session a week is not to my mind sufficient to make progress because by the time the next week's session comes, you may have forgotten what you learnt in the previous class. Judging from my own experiences across these years, committing to a minimum of 2 sessions per week is a definite requirement if you want to remember and make progress whilst committing to more than that if you wish to see yourself making faster progress throughout the Cambridge Kung Fu syllabus.

No real instruction provided. The practitioners and students are mostly egotistical, skinny softwear engineers and that are physically unfit and lack strength required. I was quite disappointed but stuck it out for a 6 weeks. I have returned to my training regime and style of Gong Fu.

Our eldest son has been going to kung-fu for almost two years, and our younger son is on the list (he's not quite old enough). Can't recommend them highly enough. The kids love it and have fun whilst learning valuable "fundamentals" of resilience, awareness focus and integration.
