To be avoided - unprofessional and frustrating to deal with. Got quoted a price for a replacement pane of glass after examining the broken frame itself. Then paid and left frame at their shop. Received phone call asking for £30 increase because the person who quoted had made a mistake. Shop then unwilling to honour original price (which they are legally obliged to do under law). Shop staff then pretended like there was no price increase because the price would remain the same if I was prepared to downgrade the glass. Shop staff unfriendly and condescending.

I've used to his place before, and in the past I have been quite happy with what they do. But this time when I went back to collect my picture, I was kept waiting for at least five minutes before anyone asked what I wanted. Even when he'd finished with his previous customer, the lad pottered about doing paperwork etc before asking me. When he finally did, and I told him I just wanted to pick up a picture, he pointed to a roll of tissue paper I had under my arm and said 'Oh, I thought you wanted all those framed'! Also, when I got my picture back home, I found they'd put the string on the back in the wrong aspect (portrait, not landscape) even though it was blindingly obvious which way it should be. This meant I had to drive ten miles and park my car in exceedingly expensive inner Cambridge, to get them to redo the string. Finally, I thought the job was really expensive, so next time I'll be looking for different options.

Really terrible service. Assistant, who has worked there for years, didn't want to get something out of the window unless I agreed to buy it without examining it. Clearly resented having to work, and told his junior colleague to fetch the item whilst he stood around pouting and being argumentative. Lost the £40 sale: I went to a different shop where they were helpful and understood how selling things works.
