My 11 year old son is a member of the club. I am so impressed with the attitude of the adult members, who are happy to play a game with him and take time to explain mistakes and praise moves. There are lots of opportunities for competition, events, puzzles. The club facilities are great and the Secretary and Chair could not make you feel more welcome.

Great chess club. Very friendly. Visitors are always welcome and looked after. Members can play in one of the teams against other clubs and/or just play friendly games with other people there on the night. They have a great website too, with links to the fixtures and other useful information for chess players.
